Fallsview Casino Resort selects RFID Uniform Tracking System
InvoTech Systems, Inc., provider of the GIMS™ Uniform, Linen and Laundry Systems, announced the world-class Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario has selected the GIMS™ Uniform System with UHF-RFID technology. The GIMS™ inventory control system will interface with a White Conveyors U-Pick-It System to provide 24-hour automated uniform distribution to the property’s 3,500 uniformed team members. Plans call for the new uniform inventory tracking system to be fully operational in September 2011.
“We selected GIMS™ to achieve greater labor efficiency, stronger uniform tracking controls, and to maintain a perpetual inventory of our substantial garment investment for our 3,500 uniformed staff,” said Andrei Kun, executive director of resort operations for Fallsview Casino Resort. “GIMS™ will communicate with an automated uniform delivery system from White Conveyers. Staff members only have to present their employee ID card to an RFID reader and the system will place a clean uniform in their hands in less than a minute.”

The GIMS™ UHF-RFID tracking systems is able to scan, inventory, and generate reports for entire carts of uniforms at one time because UHF-RFID antennas read at a greater distance than legacy systems.
