Lottomatica Group Subsidiary Spielo to Provide 5,500 prodiGi VU VLTs to SLVQ

Lottomatica Group S.p.A. announced its subsidiary Spielo International Canada ULC (SPIELO) has signed an agreement to provide 5,500 prodiGi Vu® Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) to the Société des loteries vidéo du Québec (SLVQ), a subsidiary of Loto-Québec, following a competitive procurement process. The initial five-year contract, which also includes options for extensions, was signed on June 14, 2011. The VLTs will be delivered and installed in 2013. This is the third generation of SPIELO VLTs in the Quebec market.

Under the terms of the contract, SPIELO will provide its value-driven prodiGi Vu VLT, a powerful, player-focused and technician-friendly cabinet that offers a superior video and audio experience, responsible gaming features, and networked gaming capability. This deployment will also mark the first Game to System® (G2S®) open standard protocol-based VLTs operating in the North America distributed VLT market, enabling the SLVQ to benefit from the added functionality and operational flexibility of state-of-the-art G2S-based technology.

In addition to the VLT contract, SPIELO has been awarded the VLT central monitoring system for managing SLVQ’s entire network of VLTs under a separate competitive procurement process. SPIELO will deploy its advanced, G2S-based INTELLIGENTM central system, which enables remote game downloading, game switching, remote diagnostics, and Advanced Business Intelligence. INTELLIGEN will operate in conjunction with SPIELO’s G2S- based i-LINKTM retailer terminal.
